Schöck North America is pleased to introduce the newest addition to our product portfolio: the Isokorb® GFRP structural thermal break for concrete parapets. Designed for efficiency and ease of installation, this product helps meet building code requirements for continuous insulation, reducing heat loss by up to 90% at the parapet connection, while also transferring moment and shear forces.
The use of GFRP (glass fiber reinforced polymer) bars in place of steel bars further reduces thermal conductivity between parapets and the roof slab, making this product particularly interesting to the high-performance building market.
Developed in response to customer feedback on typical parapet insulation methods, the Isokorb® GFRP parapet product offers a more streamlined design that is simpler, quicker amd more cost efficient to install than wrapping. Additionally, it allows for on-site, tool-free rebar adjustment to match slab thickness and straightforward placement that can be done before or during the concrete pour.
The product is already being embraced by architects, engineers and contractors, exemplifying the power of customer-supplier relationships to meet the needs of a demanding and evolving market.
If you are in Phoenix for the IIBEC show March 8-10, be sure to stop by Booth 439 to see this product in person.
