Raising awareness of sustainability topics The employees at Schöck are informed both digitally via the intranet and at works council meetings about the importance of corporate development from a sustainability perspective. A separate section on the intranet called "Schöck goes green” is dedicated to this subject. Here information is provided about ongoing measures that contribute to sustainability, such as the switch from disposable coffee cups to reusable cups, which results in annual savings of about 7 tonnes of CO2. The optimisation of transport and production processes also features in this section, e.g. the reduction of packaging material or the implementation of new, more energy-efficient systems. Furthermore, the departments are sensitised for sustainability issues during internal audits based on the environmental and energy management certifications, they are asked about measures and the responses are reviewed.
