Further development of management employees Effective management makes a significant contribution to the company’s success. With this in mind, Schöck launched a modular management development programme called “Leadership by Schöck” in 2021. The international programme is aimed at Schöck managers worldwide. The programme creates an environment in which the managers can acquire and develop practical leadership skills which they can use in their everyday work. Leadership by Schöck thus enables the managers to feel comfortable and secure in their role. The programme for strengthening leadership skills comprises the following modules: The five modules provide the basic framework for the management development programme that is completed within a fixed group. Each module is structured around an objective that is to be achieved together with the participants. The design and content of all modules are tailored to the needs of the relevant target group. Theory and scientific findings support this approach; but what counts above all is always the implementation at Schöck. Managers in the production area are also prepared for their leadership roles with great care. They face a wide range of challenges: They are responsible for efficient work processes, adherence to cost and deadline specifications, quality assurance, organisation of shifts and also lead large teams, all of which challenge their personal leadership skills. In addition, foremen act as the intermediary between plant management and the workforce and often have to mediate between different interests.
