Schöck Sconnex® type M

The basement brickwork connection to the foundation slab is a massive thermal bridge. Particularly between the vertical perimeter insulation and the floor insulation level, there is critical thermal loss because of the geometry and materials used. Especially in view of constantly increasing thermal insulation requirements, this gap must be effectively minimized in the thermal envelope at the base of the building. Effective wall-base insulation prevents mould growth and construction damage to the brickwork, as well as saving heating costs.
