With Sconnex® type P, type W and type M, walls and columns can be directly and permanently insulated. Sconnex® promises an effective, elegant, and visually appealing solution, especially when it comes to thermally exposed components, such as walls and columns in damp areas, façade projections, undercuts, colonnades, loggias, pergolas, etc. Sconnex® efficiently insulates the resulting thermal bridges and offers reliable protection against construction damage caused by condensation and mold.
For me, Sconnex® has created a completely new approach: by thermally separating the walls directly on the floor slab, we were able to save on insulation underneath the building and move the insulation to the inside. Sconnex® made it possible to reduce our insulation costs and create an optimal sustainable insulation solution in terms of building physics.
Thanks to Schöck Sconnex®, we can now plan the thermal envelope throughout, almost completely independently of the room layout. This eliminates planning and execution errors and significantly reduces the risk of construction damage due to condensation and mold. What's more, it looks much better – which makes Sconnex® a real alternative to flanking insulation.
