The Schöck Sconnex® type W thermal insulation element for reinforced concrete walls transmits very high compressive, tensile and shear forces in the walls’ longitudinal and transverse directions. The load transmission can be optimally controlled by the structural engineer by adjusting the spacing of individual elements and selecting the appropriate variant type.

The excellent insulating properties of Schöck Sconnex® reduce thermal bridges on reinforced concrete walls and increase the energy efficiency of the entire building.

Even under difficult boundary conditions, high wall surface temperatures provide reliable protection against construction damage caused by the accumulation of condensate and mold.

Reduced flanking insulation means that reinforced concrete walls can be designed with an attractive architectural concrete appearance.

The reduction or even complete elimination of expensive slab and flanking insulation through the use of Schöck Sconnex® optimizes insulation costs.
