Schöck publishes first sustainability report

Sustainability has not always carried this name at Schöck, but many aspects of sustainable activities have been part of the company for decades. The reorganised sustainability management provides Schöck and its stakeholders with the necessary data, process structures, orientation and bases for decision-making. This allows sustainability to be qualitatively developed further throughout the company, controlled in a more target-oriented manner and driven forward in a more well-founded manner. Schöck AG's first sustainability report for the 2022 financial year underpins and documents this objective.

One step ahead to EU standards in 2026 with voluntary reporting

The construction industry is the focus of the current sustainability discussion worldwide due to its carbon footprint. For Schöck, this is not a new topic - it has already been lived for decades. Starting with the introduction of energy-efficient products, energy management, expansion of photovoltaics, environmental certifications, commitment as a climate protection company and the climate neutrality initiative. To name just a few examples. Without neglecting economic growth and responsibility for employees and society.

All this can now be read in black and white in Schöck AG's first sustainability report, which was published on the occasion of the annual general meeting. The report was prepared voluntarily. Schöck is not legally obliged to do so until January 1st, 2026, measured against its company size in accordance with EU standards.

This is not just about the simple documentation of activities, it is a goal-oriented sustainability management as part of the corporate strategy. With clearly defined fields of action and performance indicators that are in line with the international recognized GRI index (Global Reporting Initiative) and the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).

Over the next few years, Schöck will continue to develop specifically towards the required standards of the EU in terms of EU taxonomy and the ESRS (European Sustainability Reporting Standards) indicators of the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive). So keep an eye on us when it comes to sustainability and take a first look at Schöck's sustainability report. We are looking forward to get your feedback at export@schoeck.com.
